Little Jr was trying to cross Kirtley creek and the water was faster than it looks in the picture.  Once he tried coming back, the shoe was gone.  If you look in the third picture, you can see the shoe floating away.  (It's the floating thing that is tan in color)  It was gone so fast that we couldn't get it before it went into the brush.   I told him to jump in after it, but Grandpa told him earlier that he would get swept away if he got in, so he was a little confused. Plus, me yelling, GET YOUR SHOE! over and over didn't help the situation.
